The image quality is crisp and clear at full HD 1080p video resolution. It has an increased 4:3 aspect ratio so you can get a full-body view of anyone (or anything) that comes to your front door.
The Video Doorbell 1080p (Battery-Powered) comes with a built-in battery that has a staggering 120-day battery life (varies according to doorbell usage). It also has something called Smart Human Body and Face Detection which is an AI system that can determined if there is actually a human triggering the motion sensor. You can also customize the motion detection zone.
The doorbell comes with a free (yes, free!) Wi-Fi doorbell chime or you can even use an Alexa Echo device as a chime. If you connect the doorbell to an Alexa device, you can use voice commands to control the doorbell. The doorbell chime houses a microSD card so your footage is stored locally with no need to pay a monthly fee for cloud storage.

This video doorbell works with existing doorbell wires (16-24VAC, 30VA or above), so if you already have a doorbell installed, you won’t have to worry about running new wiring.
The video resolution is full HD 1080p and is combined with eufy’s advanced HDR and Distortion Correction which ensures video is recorded in crisp clarity. Aspect ratio is 4:3 giving full view of whoever is at the front door. Human Body and Face Detection help ensure that only relevant alert are sent to your smartphone. Two-way audio allows you to communicate with the person at your front door. You can adjust Smart Detection Zones which will customize the areas the camera will detect motion.
The Video Doorbell 1080p (Wired) comes with 4GB of local video storage which means you won’t have to pay an extra monthly fee for cloud storage. The doorbell uses Military-Grade AES 256-Bit data encryption so your footage is safe from hackers. The Video Doorbell 1080p (Wired) records 3 seconds of footage prior to the initial alert. This gives you footage of what actually happened before the motion detector was triggered.

The eufy Video Doorbell 2K (Battery-Powered) (link to Amazon) is for houses without existing doorbell wires and if you don’t want to go through the hassle of installing new wiring. The doorbell camera has a built-in Sony 2K sensor and a professional-grade lens so you can view visitors in sharp detail with 2K resolution (2560 x 1920) and wide dynamic range (WDR).
The Video Doorbell 2K (Battery-Powered) has an expanded field of view with a 4:3 aspect ratio. It has eufy’s Smart Detection system which can detect a human body and face and determine what exactly is triggering the motion sensor. You can speak with anyone who approaches your front door via two-way audio. Customize the area that the camera detects motion by adjusting the Activity Zone.
The built-in battery has a 180-day battery life (that’s half a year!), of course this will vary upon doorbell usage. There is a whopping 16GB of local storage on board which is housed in the HomeBase. No need to pay monthly fees for cloud storage, plus this keeps your footage safe from hackers.
